FOREVER: New York Knights novella releases in 3 days!
Anabel
This story is as old as time.
Girl meets boy.
They fall in love and, after their fair share of highs and lows, they finally get their happily ever after …
Only in my story, happily ever after seems to be so far away.
William and I are together, but we’re apart.
It’s hard and painful, but we make do because not being together is harder than having a long-distance relationship.
Every turn is more painful than the last, and I’m not sure if I’m ready for it.
If we are ready for it.
William
For more than a year, I waited.
For more than a year, I was a good boy playing by the rules.
For more than a year, I’ve been waiting for the right moment.
I gave her time she needed.
The time we needed.
I watched her go in and out of my life, time and time again.
But I’m done playing this game.
I can see the pain in her eyes. The pain that matches my own.
It’s time to end this and claim what’s mine.
Because I’m hers, and she’s mine and we … We’re forever.

I laughed, I cried, I complained to Anna, I cried some more happy tears, and I smiled so hard my cheeks hurt. At the end of Lost & Found, Will and Ana decided to have a long distance relationship while she finished school. Forever continues their story, their heartbreak every time they had to leave each other, the drama they dealt with not living in the same country, the important events they had to miss for each other, because they couldn’t fly back and forth across the ocean that often.
When I was going to college, an hour and half away by train, away from my man I saw him once a week and I thought I’d cry all the time. I couldn’t imagine not seeing him for MONTHS. But reading Will and Ana’s story, the one Anna crafted, made it easier to believe it was happening to me. I could feel every emotion Will and Ana felt, though I’m a *tad* over dramatic usually so add whatever they felt times, like, ten. When they were happy, I felt like my cheeks hurt from smiling so much, and when they were hurting, my heart hurt with them. I cried (A LOT) happy and sad tears.
In the teasers for this novella, Anna called it heartbreaking- and in some ways, it was. Every time Ana or Will had to leave each other, I felt my own heart crack open as if I were experiencing it with them, by their side, in the relationship. That is all because of the beautiful way Anna writes and captures her audience. When I read Lost & Found, there were times Ana annoyed me, in her reluctance to admit, even to herself, her feeling for Will. But in Forever I was so incredibly proud of the progress Ana made as a person and in her relationship. Will always fought for Ana in the beginning, but you can feel her fighting for Will in here.
The pages and chapters flew by, as every moment I wanted to know what was happening next. Anna is now tormenting me with her next project, as I try to cope with the ending of Will and Ana (I’M NOT HANDLING IT WELL). This couple will go down as one of my favorite books, and favorite couple. I urge you to pick up this series and fall in love with these characters as I have, (AND THEN TALK TO ME ABOUT IT). I promise you, you will not regret beginning this journey.

I don’t know what I want to do with my life. The only thing I am sure of is that this is not what I imagined my life to be. So, instead of staying and trying to figure out what is wrong, I choose to run away. I choose the unknown. I choose the adventure.
My name is Anabel Majer, and I’m lost.
I have it all—well, almost all: family, health, money, fame, career, women, you name it. The only thing I am missing is a Super Bowl ring—or so I thought until the night everything changed. One night, a small Tinkerbell collided with my life, and I am gone.
My name is William Price, and I found her.
She is everything he wanted.
He is everything she needed to stay away from.
What happens if at the end of the journey you lose more than you find?

Talk about a slow burn!! The story of Anabel and William unfolds over the course of a year, with a constant push and pull that makes you want to scream. William is so unbelievably sweet, even for a big football player, that I wanted to shake Ana, MANY TIMES, for not just giving into him. And I wanted to hug Will and tell him that it was ok she was being a big meanie-pants, because I was there for him.
I love that this book is safe (i.e. Will doesn’t go try to screw someone else to get over Ana, and Ana sure as hell didn’t go out on dates or anything with other guys). Will might constantly say that needs to get laid, that’s why he was so crazy over his Tinkerbell, but he never made moves to rectify the situation (okay, ONCE he went with someone else to some thing because he needed a date and Ana was being mean but he didn’t put the moves on his date at ALL).
The reason that this got 4.5 stars instead of 5 for me was because of Ana. One, she was lying to herself like, the whole time. There were times she was honest with herself, but when her friends pushed to her to be honest with herself and them, she was usually witchy back to them. And then there were the times her fear made her lash out at William, giving him major hot and cold feels. At first, it was a huge turn off. But then the more I read, the more I understood Ana, and the more my heart ached for her too. She was lost in school, not really sure what to do, so traveled half way across the year to be a companion. She wasn’t supposed to fall in love with the family, or make friends, and she was definitely not supposed to fall in love. She tried so hard not to, but she did.
Will did not make it easy on her either. He pulled out all the stops to get her to fall for him. The ending just about broke me. And Forever comes out soon and all I can think is that it needs to be EPIC (which it probably will, because so far Anna is an amazing author), but I’m also terrified of what’s going to happen because the teaser said it was heartbreaking and I just don’t know if I’m mentally prepared enough for this. I need epilogues with marriage and babies and Happily Ever Afters, thank you very much (that was me asking very politely Anna, but I need it like Spongebob needs water!!).
